May 2014 - Houston Temple

On May 31, 2014 we headed off with my parents to the Houston Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This was a special day for me because it celebrated my 10 year baptism date.

Bailey wanted to dance instead of take a photo :)

Even the walls of the Temple feel different and sacred.

Laughter and love at the Houston Temple.

A lot has changed in the last 10 years, but the thing that I am most grateful for is finding and joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has been the best decision I have EVER made. Without it I would not have gone to BYU where I felt the Spirit so strong and my testimony of Jesus Christ was built up to the solid foundation I base so much on today. Without it I would not have married Ryan and we would not have been able to go to the Oakland Temple where we were sealed for time and all eternity. Without it I would not have the two beautiful children I have today who are sealed to us as their parents for time and eternity. I know that I am never alone. When I struggle there is always someone I can turn to who knows me better than I know myself and who loves me with an infinite amount of love. Through Him all things are possible. He gives me strength when I am weak, He lifts me up when I am down, He brings hope and love and light into all things. Everything is more beautiful knowing He created it. I am more positive knowing I am a daughter of God. I have more hope, love and light in my life. Of course I am not perfect, but learning and knowing and loving the one person who is perfect, brings a peace and joy that I never knew possible.

On the way home from the Temple Bailey, and later Andrew, sang us some lovely songs from her favorite movie.
