6 Months Already

So our little Andrew is growing up. Yesterday he turned 6 months old! I can't believe it. I feel like time has gone by so fast and yet, I feel like he's always been here with us. He is very social and likes to look at people more than things. I also think he's very observant and smart. I love our little boy so much I can't even put it in words. All you mommies and daddies know what I'm talking about.

So here's to you our little Pumpkin Doodle. Happy 6 months!

Andrew can sit up with a little help. This was yesterday morning.

He's starting to suck on his bottom lip, which results in a smile like this:
So for Andrew's birthday I though we'd do all the stuff he loves. Like playing in his exersaucer.

This is one of my favorite outfits. (Thanks Sis and Lauren). I thought I'd put it on him before he was too big. He likes to suck on anything - including his stinky socks.

As a birthday treat, Andrew had squash for the first time. Yummy!

Of course Andrew's perfect day wouldn't be complete with out the Jumpa Jumpa. Our friends are letting us borrow this one, and as you can see...the poor little guys is all tuckered out again :)

So he took a nap
And then he jumped some more

Rub a dub dub! It's bath time!

After bath time with Mommy.

And that was our day! Thanks for being a part of Andrew's 6 month birthday!

As a special treat, here are some more photos of the last few weeks. Enjoy!

He loves these silk flowers

Andrew likes it when Daddy reads to him.

Andrew fell asleep in the exersasucer and Mommy put him to bed.
Andrew loves it when Daddy comes home from work because then they get to play!

Andrew has been getting much better at tummy time.

Thanks for joining us.

Mirror Mirror...

My family jokes about how much I enjoyed looking in the mirror when I was young. I guess Andrew has followed in my footsteps. I put him in his Bumbo chair while I get ready in the mornings. This was our master bathroom and he loved the double mirrors because he could see himself multiple times. (This was taken at our old place). He likes to play with the other baby in the mirror. He's so cute...

Haha, that's funny. The other baby sneezed too!

We've Moved!

Yes we've moved again. Another family in the ward (our church) was moving into another house and is selling their other home. We're paying rent now, but still saving a lot more than if we were renting somewhere else. Plus we're still saving up for a home of our own sometime. The house is bigger and really nice. Click here to see pictures on a website.

We're still in the same situation as before. We have showing and open houses and have to be ready to leave the house perfect at a minutes notice. This still stresses me out, but I guess it's worth it. I'll let you know when I'm sure :)

Our new address is listed on the listing above where the pictures are. Let me know if you can't get it.

Nothing new with me or Ryan really. We're reading this awesome book, The Hunger Games and we're both loving it. I highly recommend (so far).

Some new stuff with Andrew. He's eating rice cereal now. We have video and photos of that coming soon. It's getting too hot to wrap him when he sleeps, so he's taking a nap without being wrapped. By now he's usually asleep, but I can hear him talking to himself. I checked on him and he was playing with his pacifer. I thought it would be funny to video and call it short term memory because he had it with both hands and would suck on it for a few minutes, take it out, look at it (oh ya, I was sucking on my pacifier) and then stick it back in his mouth. This happend over and over.

Oh, well just got a call for a showing in half an hour. Better go. I'll update more later!

"Jumpa Jumpa"

Oh, our little Andrew is so funny sometimes. He's always shown interest in jumping, but it wasn't until a couple weeks ago that we pulled out ol' Johnny Jumper and let Andrew play. We tried to put him in it a while ago, but his legs wouldn't touch the floor. Now he loves it and he always wants to "jumpa jumpa" as we call it.

These few photos are from his first time in the jumper. At first he didn't really know what he was doing...

Then he figured out that it was fun!

His first real attempt at jumping...

Now he's a lot better at jumping and loves it!

He really likes to look at himself in the mirror. He will talk with himself and laugh. I have video of that coming later. He's just really entertained with himself. (And it gives me a break too)
One day I was in the craft room working on something and Andrew and I are listening to music and having a good time. I noticed the jumper wasn't making much noice and I look over at Andrew and this is what I saw...
Poor little guy got plum tuckered out. (Um, not really sure how that saying got started. My mom says it. Pretty much he jumped himself to sleep)

And yes, I got it on video...

Random Photos

Here are some photos from the last month or so. Enjoy!

Andrew has found his feet and likes to pull off his socks.

He likes to lay with his hands behind his head like he's posing.

Another posing position.

We were at a friend's house for the Superbowl. The babies were doing tummy time so I put Andrew with them. Notice how his head is down? (He's better now).

Oh ya. This was a picture from Ryan's work Christmas party. It was a lot of fun and the first time I left Andrew. (The first time we left him with a babysitter - a friend of ours).

My boys.
Andrew has been spending more time in the Bumbo seat. It helps his neck muscles and helps him learn to sit up. He sometimes hates it, but usually he'll be fine if he can look at himself in a mirror.

hehe

More photos coming soon...stay tuned!

Exersaucer Fun!

I "splurged" and got Andrew an exersaucer for him to play in. At first he hated it, but now he's getting the hang of it. He's still not strong enough to stand/sit on his own so we have to stuff the seat with blankets to keep him up.

On another note, it finally hit me. He is my child. He's not going to leave me (at least not now) and he has become all the more cuter in my eyes. I'm sure I'll be posting more videos and photos because of that. It hit me when we were giving him a bath and he started splashing around - so cute! (I have video of that I'll post later). Ahh, I love my boy.

This first video is more of him smiling and being cute.

In this video he's starting to get the hang of things.

He now knows how to play with most the things on his exersaucer. Ah, he's too cute!

X Ray Results

So we heard back from the Dr. Andrew's head is fine. She told me to keep him off his back for 3 weeks! I have no idea how I'm going to do that. I still put him to sleep on his back but we play in the exersaucer more and use the baby carrier more. Oh well, I'm just happy he's fine. Update more later.

Andrew's First...

I guess Andrew will be having a lot of "firsts" coming up. I was lucky enough to get this first on video today. Enjoy!
