I just watched a video on my friend's blog and it reminded me of a video I saw a few years ago. Although I wasn't a mom then, I could still appreciate it. I know I haven't said 99% of theses things to Andrew yet, chances are I'll end up saying most of them :)

My Craft Room and Desk

So last week, or maybe the week before, we decided to paint our craft room. I wanted to do a color that would inspire me since that's the room where I'll be working on my cards and crafts. When I lived in Santa Cruz, I would go to the beach and sit on the rocks and look out at the ocean. This is where I would write in my journal or think about important decisions. I decided I wanted something like this in my craft room.

The colors get darker as you look from the celing to the floor. I tried to do a cloud effect on the top two colors. This picture was taken as we were still working on the room, but I thought it showed the cloud idea the best.

The other project that we had been working on was making a large desk for all my sewing and crafts. We got a 8 x 4 MDF board and I stained it to look like wood since a MDF board has no grain. I thought it turned out pretty well. Ryan put all the legs on and did lots of clear coats. Thanks Ryan!


What will be our next project? Painting the living room? Painting murals on Andrew's walls? Stay tuned to find out!

Photo Update!

Ryan's family came to visit us last month and these are photos from their camera. We had a lot of fun and hope they did too. I just can't believe how fast Andrew is growing up. Yikes.

Photoshop

I love Photoshop. Ryan and I took a class at BYU and both enjoy playing with photos. Since we live in our own house now, we wanted to put up a bunch of photos of Andrew. I enlarged most of these photos and framed them. We wanted a lot of Andrew, but one of each of us with him. I also have the color photos of some of the black and white ones so you can see the difference. I may be biased, but man we have a cute kid :) Enjoy!

Paint

So it has been quite a while since we painted rooms in our house, but I just haven't put them on the blog. So here are a few photos. I meant to take more photos as we painted, but I forgot until the kitchen. Oh well. Oh and when I say "we" I mean my mother-in-law helped me paint each room! It sure was nice having her help! I don't think I could have done it with out here. Enjoy!

9 Months Old.

I can't believe he's NINE months already! Where did all this time go! Ohh, as I type this, he has learned to pick up his sippy cup and feed himself! Yay! Anyway. Here are his stats from his 9 month appointment:

weight - 16 lbs 3.5 oz (8%)
height - 27 3/4 inches (40%)
head - 18 cm (60%)

So we have a skinny boy with a huge noggin. Oh well.

Andrew is now drinking lots of formula so I'm sure that will add to his weight.

Ward Baseball

So a month or so ago our ward (church group) played baseball against another ward. Well, the other team never showed up (they were called away on a service project that morning) so they guys in our ward just played around. It was fun to watch and be outside, although it was quite cold. I even hit a few and was really glad I did. We had a lot of fun.

Too Young

So Andrew likes to hold hands with little girls. I'll catch him holding hands and then once he notices me he lets go and acts innocent...
