Update (Dec 2010)

I've been trying to upload videos for months now to share on the blog without success. I'm still working on it and hopefully it will work soon because I have some funny videos to share. Until then some photos may have to work.

I haven't updated the blog since -ack! - November? Wow. Ok, before this baby come and takes over our lives, I thought I should try to update the blog.

December 2010

Here is our Christmas card of 2010 in case you didn't get one. Andrew looks so grown up in this photo! A local church had a snow machine and Andrew and I bundled up to go play in the snow.

We had a lovely Christmas filled with lots of toys and friends. On Christmas eve we spent time with our friends, the Dyers. We've started a tradition with them where we read the birth of Jesus from the Bible, and let the kids put the figurines on their wooden nativity set. It's a fun time to spend together and celebrate the birth of Christ.

Christmas morning was relaxing. We all slept in and had a nice slow morning. We opened stockings and a few gifts. Then we went over to our friends, The Hales' house for a brunch with a bunch of friends. We've done this the last 2 years and have really enjoyed it! We spent the late morning and half the afternoon with them. We finally decided that Andrew should nap so we came home. Andrew napped and Ryan and I made the Gehringer famous Hobble Pobble. (A breakfast potato and egg type casserole that I've had for Christmas every year I can remember). We were going to go to our other friend's house for dinner, unfortunately they were all sick with a stomach bug :( So after Andrew woke up from his nap, we finished opening the gifts and had Hobble Pobble for dinner. It was such a nice Christmas.

Andrew got a train set of window clings for Christmas from my mom. He loved putting people and toys on the train.

Santa brought Andrew a rug with a little city on on. There is a football stadium, hotel, beach, hotdog stand and of course a castle.

We watched some sort of Christmas movie. I think Mickey's Christmas? Andrew got a cute plush red chair from Tutu and Poppie (Ryan's parents) and he loves watching movies in it.

So, this is December, so I'm how far? 28-30? Let's say about there.

There is a park right by the library that we've recently taken advantage of. It's not far from Ryan's work so some days we'll pack up a picnic lunch and either pick up Ryan or meet him there for some fun at the park. As you can see, December was a pretty warm month (especially compared to today...maybe in the 30s?) Andrew loves seeing Daddy during the day. We'll bring footballs or the "big blue ball" and the boys just play and play on the grass. I love watching them play together.

A few random photos.

Andrew has discovered he enjoys olives - especially when we can put them on his fingers and eat them off!

My little multitasker.

A day at Chuck-E-Cheese.
Ryan had the week off after Christmas so we took a "fun" trip to Ikea. (By fun I mean, Andrew crying or screaming the majority of the time). We got a new dresser for Andrew so we could give his old one (my old one) to Bailey. He and our friend Matt spent 2 hours putting the dresser together (A BIG THANKS TO MATT) and finally it was done! I love how it looks and Andrew can open the drawers and pick out what clothes he wants to wear. I guess initiation was to put hangers on every knob first though.

My boys :)

For Ryan's Christmas party this year we went to a really nice neighborhood's club house. It was decorated so nice with lots of trees and lights and decorations. It was fun to get dressed up and have an "adult night" I bought a dress in late Oct or November that I planned to wear to this party. It had lots of room to grow, but apparently I grew too much and couldn't fit it come time to the party. With some help from my friends I borrowed a dress that fit and added a scarf for color. We enjoyed the delicious food and had fun with Ryan's co-workers.

I think that's about it for December. I have lots of videos but still can't seem to get them to work. If they do I'll post another update.
