Ward Baseball

So a month or so ago our ward (church group) played baseball against another ward. Well, the other team never showed up (they were called away on a service project that morning) so they guys in our ward just played around. It was fun to watch and be outside, although it was quite cold. I even hit a few and was really glad I did. We had a lot of fun.

Too Young

So Andrew likes to hold hands with little girls. I'll catch him holding hands and then once he notices me he lets go and acts innocent...

Mother's Day

We wanted to take some nice photos on Mother's Day since it was my first official Mother's day as a mommy. We are very pleased with how they came out and I want to enlarge and frame the first one for our new house. Enjoy!

Andrew's First Swim Lesson!

Andrew had his first swim lesson on Monday (May 11). Our friends were staying at a hotel so we went to that pool to give Andrew his first lesson. At first he didn't really know what to think of it. Then the more we moved around and played in the water, the more he liked it. He even started kicking! It was so cute! He didn't even seem to care when he went under water. Our camera was acting up, so we didn't get too many great shots. He's a natural though...

Sarah's 25th Birthday!

Yes, I am a quarter of a century old! Anybody who knows me knows I love birthdays. So 25 was a big one and I wanted to do something big. My friend Lesley and I wanted to do something big for our 25th since our birthdays are only 6 days apart. She suggested sky diving and I suggested a BBQ. Quite different activities. I quickly vetoed jumping out of a flying box and we decided to do a small gathering with some friends. We went out to brunch this morning and then went to the movies to see 17 Again.

On my actual birthday, Ryan and I went on a date to Cheesecake Factory where I had my favorite meal of all time and then had some friends over that night for cake and ice cream. Ryan "bought" me a bunch of clothes for my birthday. Meaning I ordered them online and he said he'd "pay" for them as my gift. Maybe someday he'll surprise me with something he thought of on his own. Oh well. (Love you Ryan!) Last night we went to the Houston Symphony as a birthday/anniversary celebration. It was lovely. We weren't allowed to take photos (which was fine because we forgot our camera) and I forgot it for the Cheesecake Factory too. So not much of my big 2-5 is documented.

Our New House!!!

Yes it's true! We just bought our new house!!! We are so excited! We close at the end of May and move in a week later. I will be busy painting our master room, Andrew's room, the guest room and the breakfast area that week before we move in (hopefully). It's 2784 sq ft. 4 bedrooms with a media room. We have no next door neighbors and no back neighbors (and never will!). The house is at the end of a cul de sac and our friends live across the street and down the street. We got a great deal on it too! Click on the following link to see our floor plan.

(if looking at the floor plan...bedroom #4 will be the guest room. Bedroom #2 will be Andrew's room and the media room will be my craft/sewing/computer room. The living room has french double doors and will be the play room.)

The room with the doors on the left is the library, but we plan to turn it into the play room so we can see in and check on Andrew but keep him in there.. muhahaha! Down the hall is the living room.

Walking

Well, Andrew's not walking...yet. He can sit up on his own and can stand if he has something to hold on to. Recently he's starting to take steps if you hold his hands.

He has this little toy that he likes to sit on (by himself) and hold the handles. It also converts into a walker type toy that he holds on to while he stands up by himself. (notice his bib...super Andrew!)

When Andrew falls over he usually freaks out. So we thought we'd help him out...

These photos were taken about a month ago. He is much better with sitting up by himself now.

Outside Pictures

These photos were taken about a month ago. The weather was nice so we decided to enjoy some sunshine. There are a lot of photos here and you probably don't care to see them all because let's be honest, there are a lot that look the same. But when it's your kid, they all look different and all just a cute. So there.

By the way, Ryan thought the had made Andrew look like a girl. I don't think so. What do you think?
