This blurry photo makes me so happy. Each week the kids would go to chapel and learn songs and dances about scriptures and Jesus etc. It was wonderful. They would sing songs on the way home from school and teach me. The kids loved it. I went once and wished I had gone more.
The students painted this awesome big mural. It hung on the school wall for a long time and turned out very creative. Looks like Andrew just missed having blue hair!
Marble towers on the left, and more painting on the right.
Writing a book about pandas on the left and practicing golf on the right.
Happy Easter from the Kearns! We went to Katy to spend some time with our family friends the McClures! As always we had a lovely time.
I made these little apple roses for dessert!
Family Easter Photo 2016
The day after Easter for family night we made our traditional Resurrection Rolls. It's a great reminder of the true meaning of Easter. We use crescent roll dough and roll them all out. Then we place a marshmallow (or 2 or 3) in melted butter and rolled in cinnamon and sugar. The marshmallow represents the body or Jesus, the butter represents the oils put on His body and the cinnamon and sugar represent the spices that were put on Him to keep him smelling nice. Then we wrapped it all in the dough (representing cloths) and put them in the oven. The oven is the tomb. The kids stood guard to make sure nobody messed with our Resurrection Rolls. When the rolls come out of the oven and opened up, the marshmallows are gone as was Jesus' body when He rose from the tomb. A wonderful family night. We do it each year and each year the kids love it.
While Ryan's parents were visiting we took two trips to Top Golf. Ryan was able to teach Andrew and Bailey a few things while I watched and tried to keep Megan happy. It's a really nice facility and one night we ordered S'mores for dessert! Since I've never seen Ryan golf, I enjoy watching him have fun here.
I'm sure this photo should make me sad, but Megan is just so darn cute even when she's mad.
Because of my sensitive shoulder Megan and I just cheered everyone on.
We celebrated Bailey's fifth birthday on March 4, 2016. She was so excited! She's such a happy girl and we love her so very much! I am grateful each day for the laughter and love she brings into my heart.
Enjoying donuts while I do her hair.
Megan is trying to figure out what all the birthday fuss is about.
Bailey was singing and talking on the way to school with her big birthday poster!
Here is her birthday poster! She could decorate it any way she wanted and she choose to have it covered with photos of people she loves. This just shows how big her heart is and how much she loves her family and friends.
We pulled Andrew out of school for a little bit so he could celebrate with Bailey in her classroom. Ryan's parents were also able to come and celebrate with her making it an extra special day. It was also extra special to have Ryan's parents with us.
Andrew read one of Bailey's favorite books to her class. He did a great job reading clear and slow and he turned the book around to show the photos to the kids (or he would let Bailey show the photos). They all loved it!
Bailey presented her birthday poster to her class.
Birthday hugs!
Birthday fun after school with Poppie.
After dinner Bailey opened her presents!!! Her expressions are priceless. She's just so happy!
My little birthday princess!
Bailey got to eat another cupcake on her birthday plate!
The annual tradition of measuring on birthdays continues!
