April 2014 - Easter Fun.

On April 11, Bailey and I went to a friend's house to decorate Easter cookies and have our first Easter egg hunt of the season. It was a beautiful day and we had fun spending time with our friends.

On April 19, we joined our friends for an Easter Eggstravaganza! They have this incredibly fun tradition that we have participated in the last two years. Each person brings a decorated hard boiled egg and gives it a name. The eggs are randomly placed in a bracket to compete with other eggs. Our friends, the Jacksons, then call our the names of the eggs to fight to the death, or to the crack. Two ramps come down to form a V and one egg is placed at the top of each ramp. The contestants let the eggs go at the same time and one egg will always crack and the other egg will stay undamaged. It's so much fun. Last year all 4 of us were eliminated in the first round. This year Ryan was the only one to move on past the first round and he made it to the top 8 (of about 60). Good work Bullseye!

I think it must be a sibling rule that if one is happy the other is grumpy.

Happy Easter! On April 20, 2014 we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We drove down to Katy, TX to spend the day with our family friends, the McClures. We went to church together and had a lovely dinner afterwards.

I had to include this photo of Jo. Photo bomb!

It wouldn't be Easter without celebrating the life and resurrection of Christ. He lives and because of Him, we can live again. Watch this short video. I am grateful for all He has done for all of us. Not one of us is left out or forgotten by Him.

We hope you had a beautiful and enjoyable Easter. The End.
