A little bit more from our cruise.
On one of the pool decks there was a large chess game that the kids enjoyed "playing".
Hanging out with the kiddos.
Stealing some french fries while she wears the crown she made at Camp Carnival. She wore that crown all the time and still has it 2 moths later. This was the meeting spot for most meals.
When we returned to our room in the afternoon our ice bucket would be full of perfect square ice cubes. The kids entertained themselves for quite a while trying to pick up the ice cubes with the tongs (I'm not sure what the real name of those metal grabber things are ) and putting it in their cups and eating it.
This was our assigned table throughout the cruise. It was perfect. It was at the very back of the boat so we had these lovely angled windows that we could look out and see the sun set and ocean. The first night of the cruise child watch was not provided so we had two tables (this one and one to the left of this photo) with all our kids. Those lovely angled windows became slides and climbing areas. Every dinner after that first one we noticed cute little hand prints on the windows.
"It's an elephant, Mom!!!" One of the daily towel animals that the kids loved.
The last day on the cruise there was heavy fog. Our arrival was delayed because the fog was so bad the ship couldn't get to the dock. This same thing happened to us the first time we went on a cruise a few years ago. That time it took almost 24 hours for the fog to clear. This time it only took a few more hours but since we had our kids with us, we weren't worried about rushing back because someone else was watching them. So we just enjoyed our slightly extended vacation.
We played a little shuffleboard in the fog. And by played shuffleboard I mean the kids pushed the discs around until it started sprinkling
We made it back to our car and headed home. We all really enjoyed the cruise. I was worried how it would be taking our kids with us, but they really did great! We had some great friends that joined us and made our trip that much better. We hope we get to do it again soon!
Here's a little video of some things we did on our cruise.
