June 2012 - One big post.

Not too much happened in June so this post will be short and sweet. My dad's birthday was June 5, and Ryan and celebrated our temple anniversary on June 25th.

At the end of June we went to New Braunfels with our friends, the Reads, for the weekend. We left on Friday June 29 after Ryan got home from work. We drove the 4 hours and arrived in New Braunfels late that night. Our friends arranged for all of us to stay in a cute little condo. The next morning we went to Schlitterbahn, a huge water park. If I remember correctly, it actually has 3 parks. We had so much fun going down the slides and relaxing on the lazy rivers. It reminded me of going to the water park by my house when I was a kid. Except this place was much bigger. It was fun to feel like a kid and just play in the water. We didn't bring our camera into the park, and failed to take many photos at the condo. When we weren't playing in our swim suits, we hung out and watched movies and played games. It was a nice mini vacation. The photos we did take of us didn't turn out that well so I'll just include this one that sums up our trip.

While playing the awesome game of hand and foot, we pulled out Oreos and Teddy Grahams for a snack. One of the Teddy bears was feeling brave and climbed up the stack of Oreos to the milk glass and started walking on the edge of the glass. He came across a slick spot and fell in the milk and the poor little fella couldn't swim! Good thing we had Fruit Loops handy for him to grab onto and save himself. (We had a lot of fun that weekend.)

Other than that, life carried on as normal in June.

Enjoy.

As you can see, there are two Mickey Mouse plush "toys" here. We also have a smaller Minnie Mouse not pictured, just in case you were curious. Anyway, we have "Big Mickey" and "Mickey". Bailey loves Mickey and will carry him around everywhere. In fact, she has him right now as I'm typing this post. She sings to him and dances with him. She puts him in chairs and gives him toys. She covers him with a blanket and goes "ni-nite" with him. We don't pull down Big Mickey much because he is a lot older. I'm not sure the story with Big Mickey. All I know is that Big Mickey belonged to my brother Davy. Then somehow I got it, then gave it back, but got it back again. (Sorry, side note: Bailey is dragging Mickey around by his feet. Now she's plopped down on top of him. Signs of affection.) So somehow I ended up with Big Mickey. I asked my mom about him and she said that Davy traded Mickey for her stuffed Buffalo and then that's how I got him. When I asked Davy where Mickey came from he said he thought my dad got it for him and that our brother, Danny, had it for a bit too. My dad said to ask my mom. I asked my mom again today and her response was, "Sarah, you're losing your marbles. You asked me this last week!" Well at least she's not losing her marbles because, sadly, I did in fact forget that I already asked her. So, the story of Mickey remains a mystery. If any siblings know the real story of Micky I'd love to know. Until then, we just love to play with all the Mickey's.

Bailey putting Mickey "ni-nite."

I love when the kids stop fighting and play together.

I'm not sure how this happened.

Andrew tried to help get apple out of Bailey's teeth. Strange, but sweet.

Andrew was looking at his map poster to to complete his map puzzle.

Bailey (like Ryan) loves rice. Too bad it's so messy.

Bailey learning how to use a spoon. Notice the spoon is vertical.

Like father, like son.

"Peeeza! Peeeza!!" Uh oh! Where did the pizza go? She was very concerned.  :)
The End :)
